Friendly tao sa UE!!!
The good news is that your block mates will be your first friends sa ue till you graduate and since marami ka na friends pag dating mo ng 2nd year eh kaw na pipili ng time and subjs (or just stick sa prospectus mo) then you will meet more friends, then you can join recognized university organizations...ahem like UEMountaineers est. since 1991 ;) and many more just choose the org that best suite your taste.
Buti ka pa June 15 while the "old" blocks will start their summer classes this April 16th.. heeheehe
A bit of advice when In and Out side of the University...
1. Never Leave Your Things Unattended!!! :o
2. When inside UE, SPEak In English, Talk To ThE WorLd... comprende ese? Si! heeheehee 8-)
3. Never FOrGET RULE# 6 when entering the Famed Tan Yan Kee Garden.... :?: ;)
4. Not all Cheap Food are prepared expensively, remember they are cheap...
5. Don't Cross the Yellow LANE if its not your turn! that's a BIGGIE No-NO to the White and Blue (Night Mode and UE Employed)
6. Your School ID serves as your Entry Pass to the University and can be used to avail other services like Library books usage and many more and it will cost you Php315 this 1st Sem SY '09 than the previous Php300 :shock:
7. Bring your own knob thingy for the A/C if you want to jack up a bit than usual, since you've paid for it :lol: But its pretty much enough to make you comfy during the sweltering heat
8. If you want FaMe, stand and be recognized! Walk the Famous Lualhati Walk, remember its the middle path...
9. Keep off the Grass!
10. Sleeping in the Circulation DEpt. in a Big No-no, check out the couches on the 3rd flr. its more relaxing to sleep there
11. Don't take "DAW" seriously....
12. Now this is serious never ever ever trust strangers easily outside of the campus, there are many sharks out there that are waiting for fresh meat to chomp on!
13. UE is a Non-Smoking Area, for pete's sake use the designated smoking areas! .....located at the SFC bldg men's cr and the 2nd floor of the CAS bldg (there's a table there so that you can relax while smoking... AMININ!)
14. The Student Hand Book has its uses, read it!
15. When someone tells you to meet you at the "Batibot" don't expect kuya bodgie, pong pagong and kiko matsing to accompany you while waiting...
16. Carmel Cafe is not a Baggage Counter, carmel cafe is formerly known as "Just Do Eat" and "Potato Corner"
17. During Concerts, when students are sooo having fun fun fun and outta control, expect a brownout and revocation of you Happy Pass
18. UP has its own Sunken Garden to sit and hangout so is UECal's grounds, do remember that the walls around uecal are called 'fences" not walls, seen the sign when they was repairing a portion of the "fence" during a heavy downpour "fence under construction", now thats one BIG FENCE you got there..
19. When you have failing grades after a semester a "see the dean" will appear on you record and that you are required to report to your respective dean, and did you know there is also a "see the guidance counselor"
20. There are many places that you can get lose to, ask for directions but be wary if they say "always turn left or always turn right" you will end up where you started...
21. expect na ang kalbong ue quad after ng concert! at in fairness meju mdmi na pakulo pag foundation day at BA week! (-Contributed by Glaire18 aka Ruby Ann (UE Alumna '09))

Remember to take these things seriously...
